## How we build it

Sound travels through gaps and over low fences, so we build tall, solid and tight.

### Board-on-board wood

Overlapping boards on driven steel posts. Pressure-treated, or cedar as an upgrade.

### Solid steel panels

Corrugated or flat steel for the densest face.

### Sound-dampening builds

Concrete panels, layered lumber or an insulated core, customized to your design.

### Tight to the ground

A bottom board or rail that closes the fence at grade.

### Straight top cap

A continuous cap that finishes the top line.

### Matching gates

Solid gates built in the same style.

## What makes a fence quieter

A quieter yard comes from a fence that is solid, heavy and as tall as your lot allows. A hedge or trees on your side add even more quiet.

- **Solid and gap-free**, with every board overlapping
- **Dense and heavy**, so the face blocks more sound
- **As tall as the bylaw allows**: 2.0 m in Winnipeg rear and side yards, with taller fences by variance ([height rules](https://stiersecurity.ca/faq/fence-height-rules-winnipeg/))
- **Close to the road**, along the property line that faces the noise

## Who we build for

### Homes on busy roads

Back yards along the Perimeter, Bishop Grandin, Kenaston and Lagimodière.

### Condos & townhouses

### Businesses beside homes

### Acreages
