Ornamental swing, cantilever slide or hybrid wood — designed for your driveway, fabricated in our Winnipeg shop, automated with LiftMaster and built to run through February.
Every gate is fabricated in our Winnipeg shop to your opening, your driveway grade and the look of the house. These are the four we build most.

Single or dual leaf in powder-coated steel or aluminum. The classic estate entrance — picket, scroll or clean modern bar. Needs room to swing inward.

One panel rolls sideways along the fence line and never touches the ground. The right answer for short driveways, sloped approaches and anywhere snow piles up.

Cedar or treated boards on a welded steel frame to match a hybrid wood fence. Privacy without the sag — the steel carries the weight, the wood carries the look.

Wide openings, gravel approaches, no power at the gate. Solar-charged operators, long-range remotes and a gate built to take a snowplow pass.
Most gate failures we're called to fix have nothing to do with the operator. They happen at the posts and the ground. We build around Manitoba, not against it.
A gate is only as convenient as the way you get through it. We install and program every option below; most homeowners pick two or three.
Visor remotes for the cars, myQ app for everyone else. Open for a delivery from the office.
Weather-rated keypad at the driveway for family, visitors and trades. Temporary codes you can delete.
See who's at the gate, talk to them, buzz them in — from your phone, anywhere. Intercom options →
Exit loop or wireless probe so the gate opens on the way out without touching anything.
No power at the gate? Solar panel and battery bank sized for a Manitoba winter's cloud cover.
Matching walk-through gate with a keypad or smart lock so nobody drives out to get the mail.
From first call to first open, a typical residential gate takes four to eight weeks depending on season and fabrication queue.
We measure the opening, check grade and power, look at where snow goes, and talk through style. Free, usually within the week.
A drawing of your gate with line-item pricing: gate, posts, operator, access options. You pick what stays.
Built in our Winnipeg shop, powder-coated or stained, test-fit on the bench before it ever sees your driveway.
Posts, gate, operator, wiring and safety devices in one to two days. We program your remotes and codes and show you everything before we leave.
One crew for the gate, the fence and the way in. Fewer trades on site, one number to call.
It depends on width, style (ornamental, chain link, hybrid wood) and whether there's power at the gate. A single ornamental swing on existing posts sits at the low end; a wide cantilever slide on an acreage with solar power at the top. We quote after a free site walk with a drawing and line-item pricing so you can see exactly what each part costs.
Usually not for the gate itself, but setback rules apply: the gate can't swing over the sidewalk or boulevard, and on corner lots sight-line rules limit height near the intersection. Electrical work for the operator must be done to code. We check the bylaw for your address as part of the quote.
Yes, if it's built for one. We set posts below frost depth, cantilever slide gates so there's no ground track to freeze, and install operators rated to −40 °C with battery backup. Most winter failures we see are on gates that were installed for a milder climate.
Swing gates need clear room inside the property for the leaves to open and a fairly level approach. Slide gates need clear fence line to one side for the panel to travel into. Short driveways, sloped approaches and snow-heavy sites usually mean slide; wide, flat estate entrances often suit swing. We'll tell you on the site walk.
We run underground power from the house when the distance and landscaping allow. When they don't, a solar-charged operator with a battery bank sized for winter cloud cover works well on acreages and long driveways.
Typically four to eight weeks from signed quote to first open, most of it fabrication time. On-site work is usually one to two days: posts one day, gate and operator the next once the concrete has cured.
Often, yes. If the gate is square, the posts are solid and the hardware is in decent shape, we can add an operator, safety devices and access controls. If the posts have heaved or the gate has sagged, we'll tell you what it takes to fix that first.
